Privacy Policy

Introduction

This privacy policy applies to the PocketBook AI app (the "Application") for mobile devices, provided by Levin David Schwab (the "Service Provider") as a freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information collection and use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This may include:

Automatically collected information

Your device's Internet Protocol address (IP address), the pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and the operating system you use on your mobile device.

Account information

For cloud synchronization and a personalized experience, you need to create an account. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we collect personally identifiable information provided by the service, such as your name and email address. This information is used solely to identify you as a user and to secure your data.

Financial data you provide

All financial information you enter into the Application, including transactions, accounts and categories, is securely transmitted to and stored on our backend servers (hosted by Supabase) to enable data synchronization across your devices. If you choose to connect a bank account, your account and transaction data are retrieved from your bank through Basiq and stored the same way.

The Service Provider may use your email address to contact you from time to time with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

Third party access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help the Service Provider improve the Application and its service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways described in this privacy statement.

The Application uses the following third party services. Each has its own privacy policy about handling data:

  • Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.)Lets you sign in with your Apple Account. Apple shares your name and your email address or a private relay address. Privacy policy
  • Google Sign-In (Google LLC)Lets you sign in with your Google account. Google shares your name and email address. Privacy policy
  • Supabase (Supabase Inc.)Backend and authentication. Stores your account and the financial data you enter, and keeps it in sync across your devices. Privacy policy
  • Google Gemini API (Google LLC)Powers PocketAI. The text you send to PocketAI and the transaction data needed to answer it are sent to Google for processing. Privacy policy
  • RevenueCat (RevenueCat Inc.)Manages in-app subscriptions. Receives your purchase history from Apple and an app user ID. Privacy policy
  • PostHog (PostHog Inc.)Product analytics. Receives app usage events linked to a pseudonymous user ID. Sensitive fields such as email, name, notes, account numbers and typed text are redacted before sending. Privacy policy
  • Singular (Singular Labs Inc.)Install attribution. Receives device and install information to measure where installs come from. Privacy policy
  • Basiq (Basiq Pty Ltd)Bank connection, used only if you choose to connect a bank account. Retrieves your account and transaction data from your bank with your consent. Privacy policy
  • logo.devMerchant logos. Receives merchant names or domains, never your account details. Privacy policy

The Service Provider may disclose user provided and automatically collected information as required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, to investigate fraud, or to trusted service providers who work on our behalf. Some of these providers process data outside the European Union, including in the United States.

Your data rights and deletion

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. Uninstalling the Application does not automatically delete the account information and financial data stored on our servers.

You can delete your account and all associated user provided data directly in the Application: open Settings and tap Delete Account. Once you start a deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers within a reasonable time.

If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data and to object to its processing. We process your data to provide the Application and your account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), for analytics, attribution and security based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and where you give consent, based on that consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. To exercise your rights, write to levin.schwab@gmx.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for the Service Provider is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg.

Data retention

The Service Provider keeps user provided data on secure servers for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, your data is removed within a reasonable time. Automatically collected, anonymized data may be kept indefinitely for analytical purposes.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you know that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider so that the necessary actions can be taken.

Security

The Service Provider cares about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We rely on the physical, electronic and procedural safeguards of our backend provider (Supabase) in addition to our own measures to protect the information we process and maintain.

This website

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit it, Vercel processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time and the page requested in server logs to deliver and secure the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Vercel privacy policy.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Please check it regularly for changes. Continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your consent

By creating an account and using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as set out in this privacy policy, now and as amended by us.
