1. Provider and scope
The PocketBook AI app is provided by Levin David Schwab, Paulinenstraße 1/2, 71263 Weil der Stadt, Germany, email levin.schwab@gmx.de. These terms apply to the use of the iOS app PocketBook AI and supplement Apple's standard license agreement for apps (Apple Standard EULA). Where they conflict, these terms prevail as far as legally permitted.
2. What PocketBook AI is, and what it is not
PocketBook AI is an expense tracker with an AI assistant, PocketAI. PocketAI's insights, tips and reports are generated automatically from the data in your account. They are for general information only and are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. AI generated answers can be incomplete or wrong. Check important figures yourself and talk to a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
3. License
You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, within the App Store terms.
4. Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep access to that account secure. You are responsible for the data you enter and for activity in your account.
5. PocketBook Pro
PocketBook Pro is an auto-renewable subscription. The available lengths, the price and any free trial are shown in the app and in the App Store before you buy; they can vary by country. The subscription renews automatically at the shown price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial that is not canceled converts to a paid subscription. Billing goes through your Apple Account. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your iPhone Settings, under your name and Subscriptions. Refunds follow Apple's rules.
PocketBook Pro includes unlimited access to PocketAI, unlimited accounts and future Pro features. All other features are available without a subscription.
6. Your data
How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy. You can delete your account and your data in the app at any time.
7. Liability
The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damage from injury to life, body or health. For slightly negligent breaches of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Otherwise liability is excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
8. Changes and termination
The provider may develop the app further and change features. Material changes to these terms are announced in the app or on this page. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting your account and the app. An active subscription is canceled in your iPhone Settings.
9. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. The provider is neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
